Morning departure at 8 o’clock from your hotel in MARRAKECH to M’HAMID and the DUNES OF ERG LIHOUDI across the HIGH ATLAS MOUNTAINS and over the famous TIZI-N-TICHKA PASS (2260m). From these mountains, the views over the valleys and the Berber villages perched on the mountain sides, sometimes barely distinguishable from the mountains themselves, are spectacular. Just after OUARZAZATE, you continue to descend until you finally reach the DRAA VALLEY where you stop for lunch at AGDEZ. Afterwards, we go along the ANCIENT ROAD OF CARAVANS between the mountains and the river. You then reach the village of M’HAMID which marks the end of the paved road and the beginning of the Sahara desert. Our trip continues by the 4WD vehicle along the sahara desert until we reach ERG LIHOUDI DUNES to take a walk and enjoy an unforgettable sunset from the summit (100m). After sunset, the night will be spent in a desert camp, which is also the venue for dinner.
If you get up early enough to see the sunrise, you will be rewarded by the wonderful play of shadows across the sand. After breakfast, there is time for an hour camel ride in the dunes and, the trip begins by driving north from M’HAMID to MARRAKECH via the DRAA VALLEY and the ANCIENT ROAD OF CARAVANS. We reach the KASBAH OF AIT BEN HADDOU by the lunch time. After lunch, a visit to the KASBAH OF AIT BEN HADDOU is scheduled. The road then continues to MARRAKECH along the VALLEY OF OUNILA with beautiful and prosperous villages, stunning mountains and views to TELOUET, we stop to visit the KASBAH OF TELOUET. We reach MARRAKECH by the early evening.
